SO i finally got the boat in the water and, after a lot of dealing with fuel/electrical system issues...got everything started and running, only to have the shift cable reversed. when i shift into reverse, the boat goes forward...VERY counter intuitive. anyone have any idea how to fix this?

also on the way back...engine died as if there was no gas left...but then there was a LOT of gas in the water(leadin m to beleive there was a leak in the carb or something). so then when it was at the marina, i tried starting it again...but every time i turned the key the FIRST time and it turned over and actually started up for a second or two it would die again, only to not do ANYTHING(i.e. not turn over at all) when i woul try a second time...which i'm pretty sure is a classical sign of flooding. anyone have any idea whats happening?

Thanks,
Denon
