I'm building the Double eagle and plan to extend the hull about 10". I know it is not very much. how will the extended hull affect the motor weight?
I'm still having problem locating a used auto or marine engine w/outdrive at 600lb. When I get the glen-l book, I'm hoping it will shed some more light on the subject.

thanks,
ty

Ty,

Stretching the hull will not do much to the I/O or outboard size. It is based more on the transom width.

Ty,

The good news is that modern engines have a much better hp/wt ratio than when many of these boats were designed. So, you maybe getting what you wanted anyway.
