So, since my budget only accommodates reading and cyphering right now, I continue to do my homework towards deciding just what I'll build. Looking at the available power plants, I came across the subject propulsion system. I am fascinated by the concept and wonder if a single application would work in the Monte Carlo or Miss Chris. The Volvo specs indicate that the produce is set-up for twin engine applications, but I'm curiosity is directed towards a single engine application.

Figured this would make for an interesting conversation.

Guess with enough time and money one could do most anything.

Best Regards,
JPM :D

It IS an interesting system, but you will probably have to contact the factory as to the feasibility of single screw use.

I can't remember any member mentioning experience with this system.

So, I asked directly through the VP website about a single unit application. Simplistic one line response was, that due to steering dynamics, a single unit application is not planned at this time. Pretty nifty concept for folks that are interested in a larger vessel w/ twin engine applications.

Damn thing must be inherently unstable if it takes 2 of them to steer.
