A little glass work, just to see how things fit. Will need to do some triming on the step. Think i will layup the step first on the other side. I used about 7oz.

It looks really neat so far, but I'm not understanding the purpose behind the "steps" :? I've seen stepped hulls on high speed boats, but they are different than these.

My idea is that the 16' hull may be able to get on plane?? With the semi-v bottom and such a wide beam ,and keeping the weight down using light materals she mite? She is almost a flat bottom. So the steps trick the hull into thinking it is shorter and start the stern wave faster but a rest the boat has full contact with the water, stability. And if it doesn't work I will plug them. With some luck I will know with the prototype. Now I just need to find a 1/4 scale 9hp motor. And they only work on planing hulls,I think? :?

I could not help but laugh with your sequential pix of the "flip".
