I got an eMail from the machine shop today.

It looks like the shaft can be (or possibly already has been) straightened.

While I had it in, I asked them to shorten it by about 5 cm. I had too large a gap between my strut and the prop.

I'm away this week, but I should be able to try it out the week before Labour Day.

You know Butch, you just got me to thinking. I have a guard and have not used it because I cannot get my boat in the shop with it on. But dang,, I am about to do a 2000 mile jaunt with it. I believe I will mount that thing back on before I leave.

I pick dad up at 5:30 tomorrow morning to start our trek.

We should arrive Thursday late morning.

We'll see who is there and up for an "afternoon cruise"... maybe we can meet up with the river runners...

See everyone there.

B.
