Ok, folks, I received a call from Hales Bar this morning. We have an issue

Apparently 6 of the floating cabins burnt down last night, but gratefully, no one was hurt. So we are short 6 cabins

I am getting a full inventory and listing sent to me and we can address the accomodations shortly

So keep tuned.

From your last "bumpity bump bump" there seemed to be seven "available" (or were they reserved by other parties?)

Hopefully, we can just reshuffle and work it out.

I am happy to be flexible and accommodating.

Bruce - I was told this morning there were no vacancies so there were some other bookings I do not know of. The marina is sending me the updated list

I just looked it up. Most of the comments are negative. Apparently, there aren't any auxilary pumps and the volunteer fire department had no choice but to cut then loose and let them burn.

We have a 3 bedroom on the hill. I'm holding on right now waiting to see about my shoulder problem. We think Wyley is coming. That leaves at least a bedroom. That is subject to Lauren of coarse.

I'll be driving by the exit for HB on Friday. If I have a few minutes, I'll go check it out and maybe even get some photos.
I've noticed that they have a very relaxed reservation policy. They hold cabins but don't take a credit card deposit. I would think that someone from HB would have contacted the people who actually have those cabins reserved. Maybe they have contacted them and they were not Glen-L people. I know I have not been contacted.

Actually Jeff, I have been their main contact for this event so they contacted me. I advised them to give me a full roster for I don't have everyone listed yet and then we will all address it together.

Still waiting for that roster. I imagine their hands have been full today

Wow...not good news at all. Glad no one was hurt. Dave, Keep us posted.

Heck, I'll sleep on the floor on my blow-up bed outside if I have to.

I'm driving up to TN tomorrow to pick up a jack plate at the manufacturer. I'll be going right by there and will try to take a look.

Interesting comments under the article....seems they haven't solved the maintenance issues.

By the looks of that photo, the units on the end are the ones that burned. We were supposed to be in #28, I believe. That means we're cabinless
