I just switched to Firefox and now when I click on different threads in the forum the yellow box that indicates I have read that thread stays yellow. What do I need to do so that the yellow box changes?

I've noticed this happening sometimes to. I've used Firefox for years, so I thought it might be an artifact of the web site. :o

You can clear the yellow "not read" status by clicking on the MARK TOPIC READ or MARK FORUM READ links in the upper right. Just be sure if you mark the entire forum read that you've read everything you want to, 'cause otherwise you won't know where the new material is.

Don't know, I've been using Firefox for years and never had that happen.

I still don't get some avatars when I use Debbie's old computer though

I always use the "View new posts" button (upper right).

That takes the whole "read/unread" issue out of the equation... you only get the recent unread.

I find I have to hit the refresh button to clear the yellow tags.

Thanks everybody. I'll try those ideas tonight.

After I look at a marked new post, I hit index again to go to the next highlighted new post.

I guess that's the same as refresh sort of and takes away the highlight of what I just read!!
