OH Man!! That was a good run THIS year. Cool breeze and a light chop, great water to run in :D

I just added an article to our blog about G5. There will be more to come, because I have so darn much to say! Didn't cover the awards or boatbuilding contest, or Pauls %*#&@%& hat yet... Here's the link:

I gotta let y'all know that Gayle and Glen-L Marine have come through - again!

As occurred to Mr. Hot Rod, my "Glen-L Boatbuilder" ball cap blew out of my boat and sank on one of my first passes at the Gathering. It must have something to do with v-drives, I guess. Anyway, without fanfare, Gayle quietly told me she would send me another to replace it. Despite my gentle objections, it arrived in the mail this week. I appreciate her thoughtfulness. For us bald guys, a cap is an essential part of our survival gear!

Thanks, Gayle. You're great.

hey paul, think the losing hats in v- drive boats may have something to do with the lack of hair also!?

I'll try and post some of my pics on here of the "G", just got back home on Thursday night, Oct 13. Did the entire Cumberland river, ran the loop down to the Ohio on the Cumberland and then back up the Tennessee to where I had left off 2 years ago at Wheeler State Park. Finished the Tennessee river now too. Maybe next year the Tenn-Tom??

Total of 2,584 vehicle miles and 1,413 WATER miles this trip. Grand total for the little cruiser now stands at 5,989 miles. Slept on it 23 nights. 72 running hours on the motor this trip, no problems except the broken fin at the dock in Nashville. GREAT trip. I'll try and write up something for the newsletter.

It was great seeing you all this year...and yeah, FUNNY stuff Sunday night with the Skipper and his "Little Buddy" Gilligan...and renaming the Hot Rod the Minnow...too bad Ginger and Mary Ann didn't show! :)
