Hi Folks- I've been building a Gentry for a little while. Thought it was time to share a few shots of the progress. I will be running a Chris Craft 283, purchased at an auction. Bought two actually. One's in the shop, being rebuilt. The other (in the photos) is my "parts" engine, which I am using to get everything in the right place.

Wow, really nice job! Great idea buying the two engines too. I know the cold weather is coming to MN soon and may slow down your progress...do you think you'll get her in the water in 2012?

the studio is part of my house and heated so weather isn't a factor. Plans are to have it ready for a spring launch.

Looking good Trisailor. Somebody posted an mp3 of a V8 recently. Can't wait to flip my Gentry and put my iPod on while sitting on temporary seat... ;)

Looking great, and I know what you mean about the planings. Very therapeutic. I shall be referring to these piccies as I progress.

You are staying way ahead of me. She looks great!!! I am almost ready to start working on the deck as the carlings are glued in, the motor has been in and out a couple times, and so has the gas tank. I am trying to get everything straight in my head before I move on..... Take care, and please post many pictures as you go as they really make things a lot more clear..... Neel
