Happy Thanksgiving to all you other Canadian sailers!
Yesterday I finished installing the overhead gas heater in the garage/workshop so I'm good for the winter. We had are stuffed roast chicken for dinner with all the trimmings, including raspberry pie. Then we took a liesurely drive out trough the back roads to visit an old tourist camp my parents operated many moons ago, and enjoyed the fall colours on the way. It was an absolutely perfect day.
Don't want to get too sickening here, but when one considers the famine, conflict, and natural disasters that impact so many people throughout the world, I'm really thankfull we live in and enjoy the best country in the world :)

We feasted yesterday with my wife's family. My fingers are still wrinkly from finishing the dishes this morning.

We are off to my brother's place this afternoon.

It is truly a glorious weekend here.

Very thankful for much.

Bruce; We were in Toronto Sat., (had to go to Lee Valley downtown to pick up some 1/16 ply for the cockpit radius) and we fought traffic there and back. But amazingly, downtown was almost deserted. We returned via the Queens Quay and Lakeshore. The beaches were almost deserted, and people were strolling around truly enjoying the peace and quiet.
I mentioned to Verna that this would actually be a day when I ( a country person ) could enjoy the city

Being ignorant of Canadian Thanksgiving, what are traditions?

Such as in U.S. Thanksgiving, you have the stereo-typical Turkey w/ trimmings parades etc.

Just have never been exposed to Canadian Thanksgiving!!

Same: Day off work, Harvest festival, Turkey dinner, Family.

Different: Less football, fewer parades.
