thought about that, too heavy to move around and then have to buy it in the first place.
I almost got the 'greased boards' down to a science. Last time I repaired my backyard fence I planted a 'deadman' to pull against, and the new gateposts are beefy enough to pull against too.
As a kid I grew up on the bank of Ohio River, our neighbor built steel hulled Motor Yachts. One day there was a sudden rise & fall of the river, it left a 65 footer (neighbors customers) in our front yard, leaning against the big Sycamore tree. I remember the sense of action & amazement in the neighborhood. My Dad most always involved in boating things going on since we were in the middle of it all so to speak with the neighbors on a daily basis. This was one day I wanted so so very bad to play hookie from school, I knew something big was about to happen. "I just had to watch THIS!!"
I wanted so bad to 'help' but I got the get-outta-the-way-kid treatment. This was gonna be so cool to watch because not only was the boat sideways in our yard, the ramp was next door, and there was about a foot of fresh goo-ey river mud left behind.
"I gotta see this" is what I was thinking.
When I got home from school all the drama mostly over. They jacked up the boat, got a trailer under it. Laid down sheets of plywood like mats. Rolled the trailer towards the ramp on the plywood mats. Then, used greased sheets of plywood to turn the trailer sideways and get the whole damn thing pointed to the ramp. It was a game if inches, all done with jacks & winches,,,,,and grease.
