 WARNING
ALL epoxy two part products, AND ALL two part paints are carcinogenic! Manufacturers know this! Hence the the move to so called 'green products'.
The reality is that even acrylic thinners which contain tuoline are carcinogenic. Many people think that they are harmless.
THEY ARE PROVEN TO CAUSE CANCERS!!!!
Heed my words here.
I have worked with these products for 30 years, and have access to the manufacturers data sheets. Sadly, either not included for, or unread by, the home hobbyist. Don't guess
Always wear an appropriate respirator (check for correct filters). Cover exposed skin, wear gloves and long sleeves.
Once components are mixed they are especially ACTIVE :x
I know this all all sounds very dour, but it's a FACT.
I tend to compare it with working with radioactive isotopes (which I have ), in which there is a measurable level of exposure which is 'considered' acceptable. Whereas, here, there is nothing to measure your exposure by!!!
Please be careful folks. Think  about it.

I wonder how much of the allergic comes from the epoxy, or, the solvents used to clean up the mess made with it. The solvents used to clean up spills, drips, runs, clean tools, equipment. :?: :?:

That's why I use vinegar to clean things up.....plus it's cheaper!!!

Well my new fan came in 30" commercial all metal. This thing moves a lot of air. UPS was so nice they unpacked it for me. The motor rollered right out on the floor.

it says "heavy duty" and looks like it passed the test
on the epoxy sensitivity, there are some barrier creams that work pretty well too.

Full face mask + barrier cream for the rest is a trick we use in particular nasty industrial jobsites. Outside of a full enclosed suit, its about as good as it gets.

I wear a half-mask for painting, but during my floor-grip application my eye's where burning so badly I had to rush the job near the end.

If I had to do this again, I'd invest in a full-face respirator mask and save myself the headache (literally).

Hey Bill,

My "fume blower" is similar to yours. For me it is required equipment when using epoxy. It has three speeds - loud, louder and loudest but it sure moves a lot of air.
