Hahaha... well my guys r top notch carpenters... they were born with a planer and a saw in their hand and theyv already got the hang of the whole thing building the tahoe and the riviera u see in the background.. so to them this was a breeze... they laughed when they saw how small it was lol

Not rubbing it in but to be exact.. today was the 11th day working on it ;) I love efficiency.

Ill post some more photos tomorrow.

Cheers

You have to understand that part-timers & amateurs like myself just cannot help but marvel at how quickly pro's can put these these boats together. Maybe we enjoy the process a bit too much... that or the chair & cooler keep beckoning. Either way, its always fantastic to see another boat comming to life. Thanks for posting the photo's.

Iggy... im no pro at all! This is my first time at boatbuilding... started with the riviera and was just hooked. Now i have a bad case of boatbuilding bug. So im as amature as anyone else but just lucky to have pro woodworking hands :D

We have a woodworking factory.. i selected a few guys for this boatbuilding task and theyr basically goin at it full time! thats how it all started.

Lookin at the amount of work that goes into building one of these boats makes me admire the dedication and time one puts to build one himself... So hats off to you guys !!

Thanx Fergal :)

Now Krrrrrap... first mess up.

Just discovered i cut the transom top too low where the motor should sit... Now i have to raise it about 3" - 4"... I'm installing a Mercury 90 with a shaft length of 20"

Whats the best solid way to go around doing that?

Cheers
Zane

Nice work!! Should be an AWESOME boat when done.

People have rabbeted a joint and set a piece into the cutout. Then a piece of ply or faux planks could be added to the back of the transom to cover the patch and a similar patch could be added to the motor well side.

Roberta :D :D :D :D :D
