Well, i'm new to this game and i have many questions . i have the squirt plans and am currently going to build a 32% scale model of the squirt to help me gear up to the real thing. My questions are , i have already marked out the frame members but do i glue onto the transom and then cut to shape then final sand up to the outline or what ? i,m not sure of the correct procedure here . i am just starting out and i've read through the glen l boat building book but there's still some uncertain areas.
Any members out there care to help out here please .

Juswannabuild,

I have not finished my Squirt transom yet, but this is the way I'm doing it: I have already cut the transom frame members. I will cut the transom separately, and then assemble the frame members to it and then sand the edges.

In hindsight, I do wish I had left some additional material at the bottom of the base transom frame member so I'd have some additional margin when making the 12 degree cut. As it is, I cut the frame member to size, so my 12 degree cut will have to be exact when I make it.
