Floatation aside time to move on, got some extra sub framing done today. Added some bits of framing between the shear and carling.

I added these pieces to:

Provide a solid hardwood substrate for the step pad screws to bite into
Provide additional framing support for where the step pad is
Provide extra support to the carling and shear so they are stronger together
and should make the boat better able to withstand twisiting
Provide a mounting place for concealed courtesy lighting
Provide additional holes to route and support cables running fore and aft
Provide additional bracing to keep my carlings straight.

PITA to do but the devil is in the details.
