You could add mini transom knees on top of those ears as stiffeners if they are too flexible.

The more I thought about it, I realized I needed to make a decision and move on. So we cut the pieces straight and boxed them in. There are now 2 chambers on each side of the well. One for storage and the other for floatation.
The motor in operating settings (pin holes 1-3 from the bottom) clears just fine hard over to hard over. Holes 4-6 will put the foot out of the water, I hope. If not, I built it I can fix it.

Hardy hardy,,,,, Yuke, yuke,,,,,, Well its getting more better. But I would bring the well side out a bit further and create small framing to meet and fit the constant and ever changing curve of the aft end of the boat, sorta like what is done for round stern motor boats. Of course you can add to the existing structure even though you would have some dead space in that area. Of course you can laminate some thinner pieces of plywood glued together to the framing and shape it with a grinder to get the desired shape and as always let the paint hide the multitude of sins.Afterall paint and 1/2" thickened epoxy or caulking has always made amateurs like myself look like we know what we are doing, especially from afar.
Of course as we spoke last week, a few gallons of fuel would have already found you at that point too and no one would have ever known about your lust for flowered aprons and spotted bloomers.

I am totally lost.

I think the Chipper was using a metric yardstick in the darkness of the night when he cut his well out. Rumor has it that he wanted an inboard spa to go with his circulation pump for the summertime on the water, or maybe a swimming pool on this cruise ship.

Nothing wrong with an inboard spa as long as the there is "company to enjoy".

Between work and the Admiral's birthday we didn't get much done this week. We were able to install the center supports for the sole along the keel. They are just DF blocking (per plans), but they work. The floor has been cut to shape and tried out.
