I took earlejk up on his offer of looking for a new home for his partaily completed TNT on the condition I finish it. Not only did he give me the hull, but also a 12' sheet of ply and to top it off he meet me half way. :D Thanks Earl, I hope I do you proud.

Earljk was a very nice guy, I know you'll do him proud on finishing the build and your "team" will have a ball with this boat.

Glad you all could get together on it! :D

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. :D

Oyster,
Fumes alone didn't create my madness.  The moon and the stars just lined up on this one. The Admiral was all for this from the start!!! (She wants a new set of wheels this year :() Plus the Pirate is more excited about this project than I am. And Jake has done an awesome job so far. This is one solid little hull. Speaking of Jake, heck of a nice guy. :D I hope to see him start another build in the future and see it to the end.

And yes I worked on her tonight. Cleaned up the inside of the hull.

I thought I would post a quick update. While kneeing in the boat the other night to clean her out I was quickly reminded of others talking about rounding over frames and battens. While this would be easier done before they are installed, we simply ran the router as far as it would go and then finished up with the sander. We then planed down the starboard carling to size. Last night we stained the frames and started filling in the space between the chine and the sides. Tonight we made a template for the coamings, installed the strongback and veneered the transom. Oh, and btw I have decided to finish the TNT open (aka, the Pirate version) :D

Gee one day I open up the forum and find green eyelashes included in the trimming of a boat hull. Next day or so I open up the forum and what do I find? someone attempting to already dress up their several day old girl's behind with the frillies like my own grand daughter's last photo. Whats the world coming to folks?.

Good work Chip. So exactly how many projects do you have going? I can't keep them straight. A tug, kayak, toon, tnt...what else is there?

Bill,
I sometimes need a score card to keep track of what I'm doing.  The Pug and TNT are being worked on at the same time. Which is working out great, since we are painting the inside of the Pug. While the paint is drying we jump on the TNT. :D The Kidyak has been finished for a while now. Same with the Kidrow. I'm still trying to find a trailer for the Tri-toons before we put her together for the last time.

And as far as what else, I'm waiting on a set of 8 plans for sneak and pond boats. (non Glen-L) :(

Now Mike, tell the truth. These are your fancy undies.   :P They match your gloves and apron. I wouldn't be surprised if you made them yourself.

I will install the decking when the interior is finished. That way I have easier access.
Here is a shot of the veneered transom with the lower member stained.

Looking great Chip! How do you like it now that you can see some decking on it?

It really gives her some definition, now I can't wait to see her with the coaming and motor well. :D One way or the other, she will slash in 3 weeks. :D
