Okay, so once again, I am trying to find out what would be a good epoxy to use for a small T'N'T sea flea. I will be on some rough waters but mostly calm. I need to find a good epoxy to use so I can get started. Any suggestions would be perfect :) Thanks
Ryan.

I used West System resin with West 206 slow hardner and have had zero problems. It will give you plenty of working time and harden like a rock in about 15 hours (depending on temperature). You mix the resin with the hardner and coat both surfaces with that, then mix in one of their fillers. I use 404 to thicken the resin to about the consistany of creamy peanut buter. Then apply that to one of the surfaces to be glued, apply light clamp pressure and have a beer !!! The other plus to West System is that it is available at West Marine. Have fun,,,Neel

Absolutely nothing wrong with the epoxy Glen-L sells. It has a slow and fast hardener which you use based on how fast you want the epoxy to set and what temperature you are working in.

Add bonus is that you help support the sponsor of this forum who asks nothing of us while we enjoy the commaderie of each person's build.

For a more local source check out Noah's in Toronto. They deliver UPS no problem. Usually one day for me. The problem with ordering from the US is if they ship UPS they will do the brokerage "for you " and soak you an arm and leg for actually doing nothing.

I prefer System 3 ClearCoat for "crystal clear" mahogany transoms, furniture, and cedar/redwood longboards.
I use West System products for everything else. 105 then the different hardners and fillers.
I've heard the the Glen-L epoxy is also excellent, and if you are only going to use it to build their boat, then their matching epoxy kit would be very cost effective.

I have used MAS, West and Glen-L brand. They all worked equally the same for gluing. But the MAS dries clear with zero blush. I have also developed an allergy to West and Glen-L brand. I am about to try some MAS again in a week or so. I expect to have the same issues and will most likely continue to wear a respirator and goggles.

On my boat i used both glen-l and West System. Both worked great and I agree with Dave, i like supporting Glen-L every chance i get.

In adding to my comment. I have used both MAS, Glen-l and West. When I want a clear epoxy I use MAS. It is crystal clear. When I need regular epoxy and I am not concerned about a tint, then I use Glen-l. West is good stuff but I want to support these fine folks whenever I can.

I've been very pleased with Poxy Grip from Glen-L.

I was expecting some blush, but can detect none.
