I am exploring various options for creating the white stripes on the deck. I am aware of the 3m4000uv caulk, and the use of blonde wood filler strips in between deck boards. Are there other options?

Tinted thickened epoxy, and Bruce Dow (member) has a secret formula that I can't remember.....glazing putty and varnish maybe....just don't remember, are two other options

Hmmm, Maybe I'll try the 3m4000uv caulking. Is the caulking applied after all the epoxy and varnish coatings ?

Greg

That's is how I did it. Caulk was last.

What did you apply over the epoxy? Varnish? 2 part polyurethane?

Thanks for the link with all the options for creating white deck stripes.
Also, I now have photos of the progress on my tahoe 19. Where do I send them?
Thanks, Greg

Greg,

You can create a gallery right on our site. It's really simple. You just need to register and then you can upload all your photos at the same time, add captions, etc. There are some step-by-step videos (very short) that show how it's done:
http://boatbuilders.glen-l.com/add-register/

There are more links to videos at the right of the above link. Let me know if you have any questions!

I'm ready to start shaping / fairing the covering boards and deck laminations. Any suggestions on getting the curves fair?
