Do you work with anti-gravity boots? Sure saves the back and knees

All I can think of is fairing compund before you fiberglass it.

Well you guys fixed my screw up again. I mixed some fairing to try and fill in and it looks great. I will not screw up the bottom, or should I say I will not sand the bottom to hard. Thanks for the help. As for the anti gravity boots, they save my back and knees but they make the blood rush to my head.

Glad that you got past this part of the build.
I tried many different fairing compounds thru my build, and my favorite for sanding fairing is West 410. I thought it a bit pricey, but after working with it, I saw that I easily paid the price for it.
I tried microspheres, microballons, micro-soforth, and the #410 beats them all for overall sanding fairing compound. It can be mixed until it is as thick as body-shop bondo, and it will hang onto the sides as well without sagging.
I encapsulated the plywood first, then sanded all the fairing compound areas, then applied the glass cloth in the dry method. The result was no compound filling over the glass. I only had to fill the weave.
Good luck.
I am anxious to see your finished build.

I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to fix this now so I didn't have to fix this after putting on the fiberglass. I was going to use a wood putty of some sort, but I didn't think it was a good idea. Never thought of mixing up some fairing compound. I used poxy sheild with silica #2 mixed to the consistency of pancake batter. In the pictures you can see the white spots, that is where it was low.

She's looking good Weller! I have still been following your build, just been busy with this project at work... Now that you have all the skin on her, how do you like what you have? I reckon she looks good man!

I like the way it looks but would change somethings if I had to do it all over. Overall I'm happy.

After 6 weeks of working around the house I'm finally back to working on the boat. A friend of mine came over to help me finish putting the last layer of plywood on. The first pic is before the whiskey plank was installed, the second pic is after the whiskey plank was installed. Time for the celebration of the first milestone of the hull being sealed up. Two weeks and I should be ready for fiberglass.

Weller, it looks great.
Have you given anymore though on power?
I'm thinking 350 to 400hp, GM 454.
