Skip the cutting up part and roll her directly into the dumpster!

Personally, I would have stripped her on the trailer and then driven to the dump, backed up fast and slammed on the brakes. So find a cheap trailer, put the boat on, take it to the dump and then sell the trailer. Or, build another boat to put on the empty trailer.
BTW taking it to the dump that way is lots cheaper than renting a dumpster.

On the other hand, you could put her on the front lawn and use her as a very big flower pot.

Actually its not that hard to cut up a boat. I used a skill saw and my angle grinder with a carbide saw blade in it. Wear goggles and a mask if you go for it.
Just after I finished I had somebody call looking for a bare hull...go figure!
If you live on some acreage a back hoe is a handy tool to have.

If there's no metal left a chainsaw might be faster. :D

a lot of the time you can put it on craigslist for free. You would be suprised at who may be willing to come pick it up even without a trailer.

In the Mpls. area I checked a year or so ago as I thought I might be in the same boat (hahahahaha) and the dump wanted $100 to take the bare hull

I have a 1972 Silverline Commoro 17.5' fiberglass hull on a galvanized split back trailer sitting in my front yard, and the Cap on the side yard ... they have a date with a chain saw this weekend.

If you guys want, ... I can video the cutting so for those that haven't seen it can, Or would that be sacrilegious on this site?

Bill

I tried the chainsaw routine.

The dump wouldn't take it, but the local transfer station would. I called a flatbed tow truck. He winched it on, and followed him to the TS. The whole deal cost me $100 bucks.

I cut mine up and hauled it to the dump on the free Saturday. Found out later they would have taken it whole and just run over it.
