Hey Folks,

I know in the past some of you have traveled up the TN River. This weekend i am taking my boat and meeting up with some friends on the Chattanooga riverfront. My question is, if we stay on the Delta Queen is there a dock on site that i can keep my boat at overnight at the hotel? It doesnt say on the website.

Thanks!

Hopefully someone who has stayed on the Delta Queen will give you a definative answer - I had the same question.
Last year I called and talked with someone at the Parks and Rec department of the City and asked about access to that side of the river by boat. He told me the only public docks were at the Marine Max facility, which is on the opposite side of the river from the Delta Queen and some of the City parks. He suggested we dock at Marine Max and take the pedestrian bridge across the river.
I did not ask him about any dockage for Delta Queen customers, - maybe they have a private dock for that (?)

I thought I remembered a picture of some of our groups boats docked by the Delta Queen. I think this is the photo and you can see Ray and Bruce's boats in the background. http://www.glen-l.com/picboards/picboar ... G_6353.JPG Im sure youll get better answers soon.

When we stayed there they allowed us to moor in a small area forward/downstream of the bow - as the photo shows. When we checked in they said there would be a charge for using the area but when we paid there was nothing on the bill. But I guess that was fair since I didn't charge them for their raccoon that spent the night on our boat.

I would give them a call and see if it is still available. For some reason I am thinking the last time I was by there the space was being used by something else but I could be wrong.
