Gathering 2012...announcement. We will have a ckicken and dumpling cookoff at the 2012 Gathering. Get your recipes perfected and prepare for "Dumplings on the Dock!" This is the brainchild of Gaffrig. Thanks Bud.

I'm in!! That is my specialty....passed down from my grandmothers recipe.....and I'm 56 so you know how old this recipe is :mrgreen: She even used to make rabbit and dumplin!!

So what exactly is in a dumpling? Yeah, I live in Georgia and I don't know what is in a dumpling :oops: I think it is made from dough, correct? Don't worry, I won't try to make any :D

:lol: they are made from flour and seasoning made into a dough then placed in a pot of season chicken or other meat directly into the pot and cooked together. they are really good eating mine are not to pretty but tastie :lol: but since I wont make gather for another year you all will not get to try them 8P :lol: 8)
