regarding the Wildcat EXT catamaran; any advantage to twin engines as opposed to single? question is regarding performance other than safety factor of if one fails you have the other.

Thank you

(not sure I posted under proper index)

I have made several trips on a 21' cat powered by a single 200hp OB. I have also made a lot of trips on a 22' cat with twin 90hps. No comparison between the two. Even with less HP the twins seemed to get up on top and run freer than the single power did. Also it was a lot easier to turn the boat at low speeds. I have also owned a 25' cat with twin 150hp, can't imagine running it with a single OB. You are looking at a 24' hull, I can't imagine getting the full effect and benefits of a cat with a single OB.
