I still remember the day I did the same. Now every trip to the mailbox will be filled with excitement till you get the plans. Same thing happens when you get your lumber, your paint, your hardware, your engine... every step builds the excitement.

Congratulations on your first step!

Iggy-
Very true: I'm already looking out in the street for the mail man...
I have a feeling this will be a very memorable part of my (and my kids) life...
Thanks!

Ha!
You guys are all great, I appreciate the encouragement(s). I am utterly beside myself with this project. :D
Tomorrow I will be driving to Port Townsend to get some timbers for the frames..
I plan to study the plans (as long as I can- before I give up and start building); as soon as I get some frames up on the build, I will send pics.
Kevin

I'm not to smooth with this forum...don't know where to post. Anyway...
As I price 8/4 clear lumber, I suck the seat cushion up just a little. My study plan mentioned a number of woods for these frames, but not Cedar...is it too soft- further, is it a NO-NO? It seems relatively cheap and abundantly available.
