Im drilling holes in my boat again :!: installing the spray rail........how do you keep water out there? my plans state not to glue it so........ :?:

Caulk. Don't use 3M5200 it's too strong. I used 4200. It may be too strong also. But, that is what I used.

chalk in the screw holes ?or along the whole spray rail edge?

i see ur using stem bead applied to ur stem. what material, size and where did u get it? i get some of request of it, which i don't handle. thanks.

Svenole,

I used Sikaflex Lifecaulk and ran beads down each side of the strip so I have a little bead of push-out.

thank you bill. the old stuff i'm familiar with was solid halfround. about 1/2 wide and maybe a strong1/4" thick. u have any links for this? i use to beable to get it made of stainless, chris craft used alot chrome plated bronze half round after they stopped offering c-waters.

I think it is Taco's number S11-450 for the solid 1/2". SS type 304. They make many widths. I Picked up the catalog at West Marine the other day.

Hard bending wood and drilling and screwing.........think ill go with 2> -1/2 inch pieces and laminate them.it really isn't worth it. :!: :x by the way this isnt my boat....... just using it for an example of what im doing.
