She's looking great, Fred! I'm envious that you're at the planking stage. Fairing is taking me forever.

Re: Squirt build, in northern Norway
My wife bought a kitchen-machine that cost the same as a motor, so there goes my budget
. It is strong enough to get the Squirt on plane! Too bad it is not cordless
. No hurry right now getting a motor, but nice with tips on what to look after.

You're doing great Fred. Yo'll be ready for the flip in no time. I think you still have time to look for a motor. Maybe you need some secret extra secret money!

Sure is nice when you know... "It could go in the water." May not be time. But, you have a boat!

Good job Fred. It looks like a boat already.
I can hardly wait till planking is done.

Thanks! btw where is the "like" button?
Ready for glassing, but I must know I have time enough to do it continiously, so I wont have to fair between tha layers. I am considering to start with the sides, but I am not shure.

Re: Squirt build, in northern Norway
Nearly finnished the glassing, just a last coat of epoxy (or two) left. Really messy job! :)I used the dry method on the bottom, and the first side, but the wet method was better on the side, as I did the second one. I do not know if the result is good enough to keep the stained look, but I will see after fairing. I Will let it dry until next weekend before fairing. I am learning so much during the process, so I have to build another one after this.

Looking good, Fred. You are really moving along. It's surprising how much we can learn from building a boat.

Fred, did you use screws to hold on your planking? The plans call for nails but.....
