Re: FOOD
Sorry for the confusion on my part Chris... When I read your post and then Bill's, for some reason it registered in my mind that the Big River Grille was closed. Anyway, it isn't and that is where we will plan on going. Again, sorry..... Neel
Re: FOOD
There are two Big River Grilles in Chattanooga. I think the one we will go to is at 222 Broad Street Chattanooga (Downtown), TN 37402. Don't want drivers to end up at wrong place.

Re: FOOD
Bill; For your info, a friend of mine had a large gathering at his home recently and swears by "cooler corn" He puts the shucked corn in a large cooler and pours hot water in the cooler and puts the lid on. Apparently in cooks a little slower, but keeps for a long time.

Re: FOOD
Looking pretty good. We may need a side dish or salad or a desert offering.

Re: FOOD
Seeing how I am just jumping into the gathering, I can bring a griddle. I have a slow cooker and a pressure cooker in the camper. I can store things in the fridge. Still have to make sure I have a site for camping. Bill, just tell me where I can help or bring something.

Re: FOOD
Put me down for a salad on Saturday night. I've been perfecting an Italian style similar to what you get when you go to the Olive Garden only mine is better. .... well... considering that I'm no professional. But anyway, I've got enough to make a huge amount if someone has a kitchen that they can use to let me chop up the ingredients.
Isn't it amazing!! The person that never has the fortitude to pursue his own dreams, will be the first to try and discourage you from pursuing yours.

We're down to about a week. We look pretty good. It looks like over 60 people. Any more ideas and offerings are still welcome. I got to look at our supply of "paper goods".

Re: FOOD
What about people that cannot bring food items, but they can donate money to the food?
Is that to be by individual chefs, or, a 'single Point of Contact' for general food fund?

Oak is over rated, everything about it takes extra time; then it warps, splits or checks !!!
