I thought I'd seen it before but can's seem to find it, but how long should I wait after the final coat of resin cures and is sanded before I can prime and paint. thanks.

Minimum one week, generally the longer the better, especially in low temperatures.

In the N.Y. wintertime, epoxy cures slowly. I put a final coat on and waited a month with the System 3 resin. The paint I applied in the bilge took 2 months to dry beacause the resin wasn't ready to recieve it. I know System 3 has a reputation of curing slower to complete cure, but the temp had a lot to do with the cure time. Be sure of the cure and test in a small area for this problem fist would be my advice, then proceed with your paint job.
