Hi:

I recently received study plans for the reliant. And I'm also looking at the Yanmar 39 with saildrive. The saildrive looks a lot like the typical lower unit of an outboard motor.

I thinking that if I used this set up, I would have to move the engine back into the dead space below the steering assembly and that might give me room where the current engine location is indicated to make an additional single birth below the companionway.

Any experience out there with saildrives ect. that you think would be helpful I'd love to hear from you.
