Good idea. I didn't install the system, Yamaha Warranty. I don't know exactly what it looks like and how much work it would be. I'm sure I could do it. But, with the boat 400+km from home my work time is limited. I lost my work time to the weather this week.
Edit: I might be able to come off the cold side of the kill switch.

Had more bad weather last week. But, I did make a gain. The top I want will cost a bunch. And, getting somebody to do it has been a problem. This one is $165 on Amazon. It will get me out of the sun. Working in the boat lot in the sun at 85* and 85% humidity really knocked me down.
I found a new problem so maybe I did make a gain.

Nice addition to the Bartender Bill. And $165.00 isn't bad for a price. Did that include the tubing? I am assuming it did.

That's everything, frame, hardware, and Bimini. I put it on backwards so it will fold up to the top of the windscreen and be out of the way.

Looks good Bill. Great find and clever solution going backwards.

I'm getting frustrated. Lauren invited more people to go out on the boat. I told her I hasn't ready with the boat. I have less than 10 hours on the boat. I'm still learning it. I had a low level in the starboard tank. The port thank is full. I switched to the full tank. The boat ran good down to the pick up point. We started out and everything was good. Then the engine shutdown!
A good Samaritan gave us a tow, about 3 miles. He wave off any compensation. It's what good boaters do. If your ever in the Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach AL area, please buy fuel at Bear Point Marina. The guy owns it. We were his second tow of the day.
I switched back to the starboard tank and after a few pumps the engine fired right up. Glad it's not the engine. I don't know why it's not pulling from the other tank.
I'm also going to have to rework the main deck.

I feel for you Bill added pressure not what you need while sorting out the finishing nuances
Re: I guess it's time to come out of the closet!Bartender 24
My first thoughts would be either plugged somehow, or a leak in the line preventing the vacuum from forming on the pull side of the fuel line. Another possibility, clogged filter, bad fuel pump (if separate)?

The fuel pump is form the engine. Both tanks feed through one filter. The starboard tank feeds fine. May be operator error at the valve.
I'll also check the vent and for a pinched line.

Chug
We have that problem down here, too. That's why I mentioned the vent. I seen people loose a day, thinking they had cooling water problems only to find the pee hole full of dirt.

seems I read on here somewhere about marine fuel line with liner that can get wadded up when installing.

A hand vacuum pump can often be helpful when trying to troubleshoot this kind of problem. You can test the vents and the fuel line for leaks or blockages. Can also be used to bleed brake lines.
