New Builder - Don Wynn

Postby Don_Wynn » Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:12 pm

I remember seeing Glen L ads in Popular Mechanixs magazine in the late 50s and 60's. Finally, I am ready to build my first boat. I selected the Squirt because I think I can get it done before my 5 year old grandson comes to visit for several weeks in the summer of 2018. The boat looks like fun and I am sure I will enjoy building it. I have studied the plans and have started building the frames.

The past posts to the forum have already answered some questions for me.

I am looking forward to being part of the Glen L family.

Welcome aboard, Don!

The annual Gathering is in 2 weeks, just north of Chattanooga. There will be a congregation of Glen-L boats there, of various styles. If you have time, you'd probably enjoy coming up and seeing these firsthand, going out for rides in them, etc... Lots of inspiration and ideas there. It's definitely worth considering.
