Were you taking the bartender or the tahoe or the canoe?

You would not believe the vacation we're not going on this summer! First of all, we're not travelling to the Midwest to find and restore my grandfather's 1957 28' Chris Craft Sedan with Fly Bridge that probably no longer exists. Then, we absolutely won't be doing the Great Lakes portion of the Great Loop. After that, since the kids' summer camp won't be happening, there's no possibility of taking my wife to Paris for a major birthday milestone celebration (no fancy dinners, no shopping at the Louis Vuitton mothership, no street cafes). And after being unable to pay our respects at Normandy, we definitely won't be trekking across the British Isles in search of the best whisky/whiskey. So after we don't do any of those things, I guess there is a slim chance that I could still possibly work on my boat build. In the garage. In Phoenix. In the summer. Ooof!

I see you're in the spirit of this! I always say, "As long as you're not getting, you might as well not get the best!"

What I will be doing this weekend is getting the Squirt down from the garage, hook up the outboard, wax and polish it up for the season. I helped my friend put most of his dock in a few weekends ago, so my lift is ready and waiting. :D Only problem is it pretty cold still here in Michigan.

We did get out and field test some improvements (new, larger pontoons) to his outboard picnic table a few weeks ago before the lock down hit. It is more fun when it is 80 degrees out, but it got us out of the house!
