Exploring Chickamauga Lake
I just talked to a local resident of Lake Chickamauga. the conversation was about the scenic splendor of the Valley Gorge on Nickajack.
He responded with the scenic Hiwassee River.
sounds interesting, a powerboat can go 20 or 25 miles up to white water rapids, from chickamauga.
I looked it up on a river chart.........it is about a mile from us at Bluewater.....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiwassee_River
Just my $.02 cents on something to explore

Oak is over rated, everything about it takes extra time; then it warps, splits or checks !!!

Re: Exploring Chickamauga Lake
The menu for the restaurant calls it "B&B Marina's Paradise Point Bar and Grill" https://www.menupix.com/menudirectory/m ... id=4204396 Closed Mon-Weds
If you go to the pictures in google and look at the aerial map, the big blue roof in the parking lot with the new concrete looks like it is the restaurant/bar. https://www.google.com/maps/uv?pb=!1s0x ... mrgL&hl=en
The small blue/purple roof building with the deck around it by the water looks like a live music stage/bar.
https://www.google.com/maps/uv?pb=!1s0x ... NeJu&hl=en
It is 16 miles by water from Bluewater resort. Might be a good option for a river run for my little boat if its rougher than I like on Chickamauga. Also another good stop for a poker run.

Re: Exploring Chickamauga Lake
We could call the thurs afternoon run the "Beer run". Or "Paradise point run"
Their fb page says a new owner took over a year ago and made a ton of renovations. The food looks really good.

Re: Exploring Chickamauga Lake
It seems like there are so many more options a Bluewater then where available a Hales Bar. I think it is going to be a great gathering in 2021. Thanks to everyone exploring all the choices

We're still happily married, but now she just wants "the dam boat out of the garage."

Re: Exploring Chickamauga Lake
I took a little flight over Chicamauga and Blue Water Resort in MS Flight Simulator. It is a lot flatter there compared to our old digs but still looks like it is a beautiful area.
Re: Exploring Chickamauga Lake
HA! Thats great! I have yet to upgrade to a computer that will run the new MS flight sim.
