OK guys, another question for you.
I am anticipating using the Waterlodge for fishing and hunting excursions on the mississippi backwaters well beyond when the other boaters go home for the winter. The weather will be cold and want to be able to heat the cabin and use it as a "base camp".
The question I have is can I/should I insulate under the sole, in the bulkheads and the ceiling? Any suggestions on types of material?

Thanks,
Don

Aloha Catman,

I too am building a Waterlodge and plan to insulate it with 1" foam on the walls and ceiling. The floor will have carpet. It is such a small square footage it should not be too difficult to keep warm.

Take it easy,

So you're not going to insulate under the sole at all? I suppose it would get in the way of proper bilge water drainage.
