Long story short, I'm building a folding rowboat and the joints are kept waterproof with heavy duty vinyl weave and will be attached to marine plywood. I wanted some opinions on what to use to glue the vinyl to the plywood to give me a good strong seal and will stand up to the water. I will also be attaching strips of wood over the vinyl to add further stregthen the hold. I'm new to the world of glues, epoxy, etc so your info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

I would call one of the places that specialize in repair of inflatables & ask what they use to bond the "fabric" to the fiberglass on the RIB style inflatables.

I know this is a different type of fabric than you are using(hypalon or pvc),but if you haven't bought fabric yet,you may want to buy hypalon.

My RIB is 13 yeas old,& have no problems with the glue seams.

There is a business in St Pete that does this.

I actually have the fabric already (I had a friend at a company that cut me some for free) :)

I may try contacting them though to see if they have any ideas. Thanks for the idea.
