I believe that of all of Hankinson's plans, his tug boat line is one of the
most unique and neatest of all. And it would be a shame for the tugboat
plans not to continue to be available. I hope you find a set.

Some one mentioned that Hankinson'a phone message said he was retired, and if you had a set of his plans and needed info to write him and he would respond. Maybe someone can post his mail address and you can write him and still buy a set directly from him. Good luck..RonW.

It is a pity that these plans aren't available. I have had a copy of the study plans for about 4 years now, and planed to build one someday... just didn't have the time or the available space to build it. Now I have the space, but the design is no longer available.

You would think that an established company (like Glen-L) would see a strong advantage of buying out Ken to add his designs to their collection; he has many unique designs which are definitely not duplicated by Glen-L's current offerrings.

With the Sweet 16 not available, that leaves me to fall back on possibly building a design by Jay Benford. I am somewhat hesitant about this; I have heard nothing but praise from builders of Ken Hackison's designs. I have heard nothing but a resounding silence from builders of Jay Benford designs (although I did see THE 20' catboat hull tug from his catalog for sale-the Joy- last week on yachtworld).
