Would another round of BBQ be OK for Saturday night in addition to the Chili?

The Saturday and Sunday "Breakfast Club" need a little help.

Does anyone staying at the cabins have an electric griddle (and extension cord) that they could bring along and loan us? With the numbers we have, we probably need a little more fire-power to get the cooking done.

Once two have "volunteered" by reply post, we should be good.

Thanks.

PS... Bud... My vote doesn't count much on Food, but for what it's worth, I'm fine with BBQ Sat Nite... "variety is the spice of life".

Part of our crew and I will be there probably before noon. Is the check in now at the lodge or do they still have a field office at the cabins?
We will be setting up early to get the wings going

Bob,

Check in. I don't know.

How do the Fall colors look? We're a little slow down here.

Its a little slow here too. I'm still picking peppers from my patio plants, Just picked the last of the tomatoes. But we will have fresh green peppers in the chili Saturday night.
I think the colors may be better than last year.
The cracker is still not done, I haven't done a whole lot since last year. But if the weather looks decent, we will be bringing the Donzi or the Checkmate. We couldn't stand watching from the shore!
Looking forward to next week.
Bob

Bill,
You have me down for pancakes and OJ, which I will be happy to bring, but I don't have a griddle. I was under the impression that someone had one and just needed the mix and syrup. If one is not available, we'll have to go to plan B. We'll probably need several, and power for them, or a gas griddle.
Let me know what's available, meanwhile, I'll see what I can find here.

Thanks,
Allen

These direction bring you up from I-59 (Chatanooga-Birmingham) via 431N, not I-65/I-565/431S through Huntsville.

Also, the store at the foot of Sand Mountain before you cross the lake is a Food World not Winn Dixie. Walmart is on right in Boaz & left in Albertville + other stores also.

What's in Guntersville
http://www.marinersguide.com/regions/gu ... /food.html

If coming from I-65/Huntsville, after you go through Huntsville & go "over the mountain" on 431, the last Walmart will be in Owens Cross Roads on the right & a Publix grocery on the left at Sutton Rd. intersection This is 50-70 minutes from the park. There are a few smaller grocery stores between there & Guntersville.

Port,

You'll probably be coming in on Hwy. 431 from I-65. At the top of Sand Mtn., you'll come Boaz and then Albertville. When you come down the hill to the lake, just before you get to the lake, there is a Winn Dixie Market Place on the right. I think it is about 8 mile on to the state park.

The grocery stores on the other side of the lake are pretty small.
