I think I got the cart before the horse. I was suppose to introduce myself. I just posted a question regarding Auto conversions. Now I will do the intro. I bought plans for the Barrel Back Run-about last fall. I am a retired police officer that needs a long term project for retirement. This ought to do the job. I have completed my frames and have laminated the motor rails and the Stem. Decided I better decide on the power and am now finishing up on the rebuild of a 1964 Chevy 283 cu. engine. I am from Nebraska and I will be looking for water as soon as I get done with the building. Maybe I will have to travel some to put this baby in a pond. So far this has been just what I am looking for. Nice to meet all of you. Robert (Bob) McLean, Wayne, Ne

Robert,

Welcome, you maybe a little early to worry about the engine. But, it is never too early to plan through the job. But, you now know the room required in the engine compartment. If you need to change the frames or deck arrangement you can deal with it as you go.

Bill

There's a really excellent pond in Guntersville, Alabama. ....if you are willing to travel. You could hook up with Bob Maskel from Minnesota as he makes his yearly trip for our gathering at the end of October each year. And Bob is a police officer. So you could make each other behave. :D

I'm not even sure we're going to thaw out here in Tennessee by then. MAN!
