i am about the begin to construct an Aluminum Wildcat and would like to get some recommendations where i can buy the material at the best price.I am in Los Angeles but travel all over the state.out of state is possible but shipping costs may be an issue. Also anyone who has built a boat in aluminum i would like to hear from as this is my first attempt at that medium.I have built several boats out of wood.I saw on the Glen L site that Wayne Wiechmann is building or has built a Wildcat in California so I would like to talk to him. if someone can let him know this it would be greatly appreciated.also I would like to hear from others who have built aluminum boats to give me some pointers and cleaver ways of doing things, this could be quite a challenge.thanks,Jon

The best place I have found for buying materals is Action Metals 1625E Pacific Coast Hwy Wilmington Calif. 310-549-5666
This place is also a recycling center, its very busy there, just go to the office and let them know what you want. They have 5000 series aluminum. you can even get you steel for your trailer there. They even have used material, Aluminum, steel and stainless and will cut it any size new or used to the dimensions you want. One of the guys in the office is Jeff, I cant remember the other guys name. Check them out they have probably everything you need and if they dont have it they can get it.
Action Metals are friendlier and cheeper than M&K Metal in Gardena.

I think JRM wanted a supplier in the Los Angeles area.
