My kids and I were recently at two Hydroplane races here in Michigan. From the 200mph Unlimited Hydroplanes running
the turbines down to the little 3 point hydros with what appeared to be ~9.9hp outboards.
I am getting up the courage to take the plunge by doing some research online (this forum) and some others you have posted.
I am also getting a copy of "Boatbuilding with Plywood" and the plans shortly after.
My wife is due with our third child next month so this project will get us out of her hair for a few hours a day.
My daughter is all excited about it and my son is also, he's a little too young to help though. Mainly the boat will be for her
and him as he gets older. Dad of course will have to test it out first.
We are planning to build a Tunnel Mite. I have already found a supplier for the lumber and have been browsing the aisles at West Marine.
