It is a holiday long weekend here in Toronto, so I got up early and took the boat out for a little run.

I've been working on a few things, and was getting edgy because I haven't had her in the water in several weeks.

I was on my own, so this video is a "Drivers' eye view" of an out-and-back run along Scarborough Bluffs and the Eastern Beaches. There was about a foot-and-a-half swell, so it was not a particularly smooth ride. (I'll need to get some of my fillings checked) But everything went well.

The fantastic Art Deco building is the RC Harris Water Treatment Plant. In the last shot, you see some cliffs (Scarborough Bluffs). I live just at the top of them. Below them is a man-made park with a marina and the public boat launch.

I'll have to officially launch it one of these days.

Lets see you made it back and was able to post about it without adding "rant" to the post. You added photos to also prove that a launch and run did happen and we have already concluded that you did in fact retrieve your boat since you are here to tell us about it. I now knight you as doing an offical launch even though I withheld the bubbles. This computer afterall that I am typing on is a Windows PC which does not float or do dampness well. Sorry...   Now If I only had a MAC .....Oh good job, by the way!

Oh in the true spirit of christening, these guys must also observe the native and regional tradition too.

Lets just say that they would also be washed in the waters even though this would not eliminate all of the stale beer from their souls.

How about a launch & Christening in Chattenooga, then run the boat to a reception in Guntersville :D
