Well, after 2 years , 5 months and much 'blood, sweat & beers' , I have completed and launched El Guapo. It's a Glenn-L SKI TOW design and drives, rides and handles wonderfully.

Thanks again to everyone on this board who have so graciously provided experience and guidance to me. (especially during the early stages of my construction)

Awsome build there WoodBooger! The deck work is most impressive. The little tuck-away storage for the stern light is a great idea too. I've seen photos of a Malahini that has the flip up rear decks for storage as well. Great idea.

What species of woods did you use?

Best Regards,
JP

Congratulations!

You must understand that you have an open invitation to drag that baby to Guntersville in October so that we can all drool over her in person.

Oh Yeah! Let's see Chris Craft build something like THAT!!

You should explain that "Guapo" means handsome/beautiful. So this boat really lives up to its name. Are we going to get to see this at the Gathering?

Great work Mark!
Must really turn heads at where ever you go :!:
Nice marquetry pattern on the deck! is that all 1/4" stock or thinner veneer recessed into the Sapele decking?
....would you mind if we moved this over to the launch area section so everyone will see the finished boat?

Excellent work and El Gaupo lives up to his name. Nice clean look and everything is neat and tidy. Congratulations on finishing your project.
