I am going to look at some 12" X 12" X 10 foot
mahogany from Columbia on Sunday. What is this stuff worth? What would be a good price? I will get some pictures. He has 10 pieces. If anybody else wants some I can see what we can do. He also has some teak.

Good Honduras is running from ten up, quality stuff! African is around seven and questionable. There are other specifies running about five and change, all prices bd. ft.

Man that is one big piece of wood. 120 board feet per log (for lack of a better word) x 10 pieces 1200bf of mahogany. ..wow that is a lot of wood :)

Man it would be nice to run into someone up here with something like that...oh the boats that could be built from that.

edit: Of course that doesnt factor in any sawdust that will be created making boards out of that wood so it will likely be less then the 1200bf in the end

Now Duane...

If you loose 1/8" per cut you can get 10 - 4/4 boards at 10 bf/board. Total 100 bf.

And enough sawdust to make linoleum flooring.

Bill, we must have been posting at the same time. I was editing my post roughly saying the same thing (your more precise then I was). 1000bf would still make a few boats...lol
