Our fastener rep just stopped in with samples of bronze finish washers, fender washers & lock washers. Plus he let us know that they carry bronze oval head machine screws. Apparantly, there aren't many places that carry these items.

Is there any interest in any of these fastenings? Let me know...

Fender washers and lock washers would be helpful I would think in load bearing applications, like through bolts for frames, keel joints, mounts, etc

The oval head and finish washers...I don't know....they would be used in a surface application, and in my limited saltwater experience, bronze turns green and would need constant cleaning to keep this from happening

bronze does turn green and if you don't mind polishing it 2 times a day like we did in the navy you can keep it shiny but is it worth it

Bronze finish washers? Forget about them. Its my observation that finish washers are rarely used with wood screws and folks seem to purchase stainless steel tapping type fasteners for securing bits and pieces thats being glued with epoxy too which also are normally used for flush mounted and exposed hardware.. Machine bolts with flat washers and lock washers go hand in hand in many applications but thats something that you will need to access depending on prior sells of fastener kits. Limited sizes to coincide with your popular models, maybe, but these days its hard for average consumers and us dunderheads to get a feel for what sells or what you think may sell with your plans.

That's why I ask you guys first--you da men. We were wondering why someone would want bronze finish washers--that could be why no one carries them! Thanks for the input...
