There is a Mark 30E on Ebay for sale. Pretty nice, but pricey at $2699.00. Can anyone tell me for sure if it is a 15" shaft, for a Zip?

Thanks,

Roberta

The Mark 30 is a short and should work on your Zip. But before I spent that amount of money I would make sure that the motor was checked out by a good mechanic. As a minimum the lower unit should have been resealed and a new impeller installed, the carbs should have been rebuilt and new upper and lower crankshaft seal installed.
Hope this helps Mike

You can pick them up a lot cheeper than that,I posted 2 here last week for under $500 needed a bit of work, but if you get it done by a pro you will get a warranty and know all the work that has been done.
Or you could do what I did and buy a newer merc and put an old cowling on it,any of the blue, red or brown bands will do.

Hi Mike,

Where were the Motors posted? E-Bay? I might be interested. I do like your idea of the faux cover, too
