Man O Man :D They are coming out of the wood work now. Steve, why have you been hiding her from us. :( I'm with Dave and Nova, please post more often. Better yet, don't start us off in the middle of the story. We want you to go back and start from the beginning. :D

Thanks for the kind words. I'm grateful to find a community of folks who understands the peculiar affliction of boatbuilding. I like to think of the project as therapy; my wife says I must need lots of it!

Will try to post some pics from earlier in the project.

Regards,

Steve Hansen

You are not the 1st to call you boat building 'therapy'

She's looking great! I'm sure you're busy building, but if you get a chance, email us some photos and we'll get them posted in the Customer Photos section. (info@Glen-L.com)

Welcome to the Forum!

Greetings All. My name is Ben. I am a retired carpenter. I am interested in a small motorsailer like the Kodiak. A bluewater boat. I would prefer building in wood. My late father started a boat in steel but as he as a carpenter his metal work skills were low and he could not find dependable help after having a stroke. He gave up, cut the frame apart , and sold all the steel plating material he had bought.

He always regretted not building in a medium with which he was more familiar. I am looking for designs similar to Kodiak in any type of wood construction. I think I am more interested in the building than the cruising. A fair set of lines and a well drawn contruction plan makes my mouth water. Peace to all, Ben

All I can say is WOW!. What a project. Love the bow thruster built in there. I guess you won't be turning that one with a few mates and some beer...
