I'll try to get you information on the back door into Hales Bar. The main entrance is up a hill. Then down their curvy entrance road. But, before you get to the hill there is a left turn to a lake side road that goes by the ramp. This road is flat and straighter. A much easier pull.

I would appreciate the info. Been by the place many times on the water but never on the land. All together I have a 36' dragging along behind the truck. Does tend to somewhat limit my maneuverability. :)

Ray - I am amazed you are pulling at all. That is one large rig you built yourself there.

If you do a mapquest directions, they bring you off I-24. That road Tees into Hwy 41/64. Turn right, you go about 1/2 mile and bear left on Hales Bar Road. At the left, you can see a building that is tan with a big brown M on it of to the right. If you get to that building you've gone too far.

Thanks Bill. Great information. I took a "look" using the street view of Google Maps. I love this app. Here is the link to a view of the intersection where Hales Bar Rd turns off 41/64 to the left.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=1265+Hales+Bar+Rd,+guild,+tn&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=42.987658,93.076172&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=1265+Hales+Bar+Rd,+Whiteside,+Marion,+Tennessee+37340&ll=35.028481,-85.53645&spn=0.002741,0.005681&t=h&z=18&layer=c&cbll=35.028671,-85.536217&panoid=Uij5zqrnsbsIqvj_zekxOg&cbp=12,9.68,,0,-2.46

If you are not familiar with this feature mouse over the road to the left and double click. It will move you forward to the spot. Also use the rosette in the upper left corner to rotate things (grab the N) and you can see an actual 360 view if the spot.

Here is a view of the ramp from the road -

Here is a view as you approach the marina -

Like I said I love this feature!

I really hope you can make it to the Gathering :!: :) I'll put it in neutral and take pictures from the porch.

This year I can't run with the BIG Dogs :!:

This Gathering is starting to look like something special

Are we becoming the Sturgis of home built boats? :D
