Well, I got the wood on Friday, sorted it out on Saturday, cut the plywood to size and layed out the rough frame members on Sunday, and put it together Monday. Made the angle cuts and top cut last night and sanded the whole thing today. Turned out pretty good. I was a little concerned about the angle cuts but they came out very accurate. Just need to disassemble for the notches, then glue it up.

Thanks, Bill. If the Zip transom was as complicated as your's, it probably wouldn't be so neat. I haven't had a chance to slobber epoxy all over it yet. Give me time. :lol:

The shop is so clean because my very helpful and understanding hubby (not to mention loving) picks up after me so I can keep moving. Otherwise I'd be buried in sawdust and other junk.

Thanks, guys. I will be at G4, but the boat won't. I hope to have it planked before G4 and hopefully righted by mid November. If I make that goal, I should be able to make G5. Have to have some time out for golf and housework, among other things. It sure is nice being retired, though. I could never fit work into my busy schedule, now.

I'l post periodic progress photos and bring a scrap book to G4.

In the past 3 years, we've found that we learn more from the unfinished boats than from the finished ones!

If it was righted and on a trailer I would bring it, but I don't have a trailer yet and it will undoubtedly still be on the building jig by G4. But I do look forward to seeing anyone's unfinished build for my own edification. I'm so glad this forum exists. It, and the Glen-L wedsite, is a wealth of information. I'm anxious to meet you all and share experiences.

Anyway, I'm going back to work on the boat,
