There are some things are important in raising up the young -uns. Fishing is one of the more important one; in more ways than I can count. :) Bring the tin boat and we will turn an eye - this time!!!!

Maybe he can get some wood grain contact paper and "plank" the sides!!!

Terry, why don't you just insure it with Haggerty? All they did was ask how much I wanted to insure it for.

What happens if I don't get my little wooden boat built in time for the G-4?

Bill has mentioned in a previous post that in the past 3 years, we've found that we learn more from the unfinished boats than from the finished ones.

If your work-in-progress isn't going to make it to The Parking Lot, the next best thing would be to bring a poster to show your boat's current build stage.

Here's Bruce Dow's Monaco and the Hot Rod's poster at G1. Bill's Tahoe is also in the frame.

Click here for a better look at the poster.

A photo album or scrap book of your build would also be an option.

I know!
I'll bring some paint and brushes and let the kids make a wooden boat out of my Tin boat~

I learned a lot from gawking at the boats. Ken's boat was something like I always wanted while I was up in Alaska. That guy from Frisco should have won a prize for his innovations to that long Boat with the motor on the tiller.
Maybe we should have some sign up's for whom you think the best new innovation? Best use of available materiel or devices? (Made a canopy out of some Black Berry bushes....)

Every year we have tried to make awards for pertinent additions to the Gathering. Not composition or workmanship. But, extra effort, helping others, or just things that were fun that happened!

We need ideas from this forum and from what happens at G4.

I think this year will be better for a real good reason.
The boats and the Campers will be closer together. Most every thing will be one place too.

I'm still shivvering from last year. I'll come with a Winter Set of clothes this year just in case.
Rain's no problem. I'll throw in a Tarp too.
Everybody take advantage of those $3 umbrella sales and bring some extras.

Some other ideas....
Bandages, hydrogen peroxide for Fish hook's and Splinters, Benedryl for Stings. Bug Spray, Wasp and Hornet spray, chairs, your own drink container, some tin foil if you plan to scavenge from the tables, Ice containers, Thermos jugs for hot coffee storage,

I drink Hot coffee and Cold tea, both with Yellow artificial sweetener.
I'll bring a box of sweetener for the rest of the users.

Everybody bring your cameras this year. Dont be afraid to take shots either.
I was just plain ignorant last year.
I just didn't know how long my battery would last or how many shots I had and certainly was surprised to learn the guy with the laptop could get films from my Camera if I had the right connector.
This year I have my 2Gb SD Chip and bringing my USB cable.

Maybe some body will show me how to make movies with this Fujiconfuzi.

Allyn, its gonna be great to see your Squirt again. I loved watching it keep up with the big dogs last year! With all the Squirts registered I vote that we have a race sometime Saturday afternoon between the Squirts.

kcooper,
The Glen-l 14 and its colorful sails sure brightened up the cloudy weekend last year. I hope a steady, gentle breeze blows for you this year. That is one very nicely built sailboat.

This is going to be such a good time!

I just got through culling 44,chicks, and throwing another 40,000 at another house.
I wonder how the parents would act if I brought some Baby Chicks for the kids to 'adopt'?
It may not be possible, but if it is, what do you say?

Lauren's mother may be OK with it :!: But, I don't know what the Home Owners Association will say?

Then there are the cats... mumble... mumble...mumble...
